Farm to School
What- DMS will have raised beds, muscadines vines and perhaps apple trees. We will grow these crops and then sell them back to our own cafeteria and others within our community.
Who- STUDENTS!!!!- we want this to be as much student led as possible with educational guidance & facilitation.
So far Gnets, ISS, Science, 4 H, The outsiders club have agreed to be sustainers. They will construct and build the beds, they will also make sure they are sustained. We welcome any other interested clubs, classes, or organizations to sign up and be apart of this great project.
We need sponsors!!!! Each bed cost $350.00 to build. If you would like to sponsor a bed please us know.
